Guitarist | Performer | Music Educator

Patommavat Thammachard (Note) is a Thai classical guitarist whose work combines performance, teaching, and artistic development. Raised in Hua Hin and Bangkok, Thailand, he began his musical journey under the guidance of his father before continuing formal classical guitar studies with professional instructors.

In 2014, he graduated from Indiana State University (USA), earning a Master of Music degree in Guitar Performance. He is currently a Doctor of Music candidate in Guitar Performance at the College of Music, Mahidol University, Thailand. Alongside his performing career, he serves as a full-time guitar instructor at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University in Bangkok, where he teaches performance, develops students’ technical foundations, and supports their professional growth.

His achievements include winning the Paul W. Hagan Concerto Competition (USA, 2014). In Thailand, he received First Prize in both the Yamaha Acoustic Guitar Competition and the Bangkok International Classical Guitar Competition in 2010.

As a performer, he has presented solo recitals, concerto performances, and academic concerts in Thailand and the United States. His repertoire reflects a strong interest in expressive interpretation, tonal control, and structural clarity within the classical guitar tradition.

Beyond the stage and classroom, he creates educational and performance-based content under “PTNote Guitar” on YouTube and Facebook, and has served as a judge for national guitar competitions. Through his work, he continues to promote disciplined musicianship, artistic refinement, and meaningful music education.
